Blog Under Construction

I know, I know...it's been forever since I have blogged. Well, since I have actually posted a blog entry. I sit down and start writing them all the time, but rarely come up with anything I feel is worthy of a post (which perhaps comes as a surprise to you, given some of the ones that have made it in the past). After much thought, I have decided to "re-vamp" my blog. Don't worry, my five faithful followers- it's still going to be 100% awesome.

I got thinking about why I have not published any of my recent posts...I just wasn't interested enough in what I was writing about. So what am I interested in? Well...lots of things. But what am I interested in enough to actually write about it? My family, my pets, funny things that happen to me at work, and turning my house into a home I am proud to show off to people- or actually like walking into. Basically, my life over the last month has revolved around working and brainstorming ways to make my house amazing. I've discovered I am not very creative (I so wish I were), but I am working on this. I am turning to the Internet for inspiration, and have found some pretty great stuff. I recently discovered an old school friend of mine's INCREDIBLE blog, You and I 365,  in which she details all these cute little things she creates/finds- including housewares, jewelry, and food. Basically three things I love. This reminds me that I must follow this blog. And you should, too.

Today, I am going to share a little piece of my home with you...just a little one. Our house came with a lovely master bedroom with a decent sized closet. Unfortunately, the closet was completely empty. And by empty, I don't mean "Oh dang, they didn't leave any smokey smelling clothes behind". I mean no closet rod, shelving, or anything. Just an empty space- four walls and a heater. So, being the proactive people that we are, Clinton and I have been living the last month and a half with our clothes folded in piles on the floor. Clean, and very convenient when you're looking for a piece of clothing. Think Frenchy's, but without the bins- everything is jus thrown on the floor. Yikes. Finally, on a much anticipated half day off this week, I went and purchased a closet organizer. Yipee! Clinton and his many tools (old, new, and borrowed) installed it, and I spent an entire morning putting everything in it. I like to call it...an organized mess.

So, it's still a little cluttered...and we desperately need a shoe rack. But, this is a huge difference for us- we can see all our clothes! You'll notice that there is a pile of folded clothes beside the shelving, which we still have no place for. Spring cleaning? Yessir!

Please blog friends/organized people...any space saving tips you have would be GREATLY appreciated. Comment please!
